Rambling
Another month has come and gone believe it or not. I am always fascinated by how quickly time flies by. My life and in particular my travels all seem to blend together as one large memory as opposed to several smaller memories. Perhaps because poker is the common denominator? I think this is a real shame and I am going to make an effort to begin appreciating things like trips a whole lot more.
I recently was bored on facebook and saw an application from TripAdvisor that pegs all the places you have been in the world. I played around with it a little bit and although I haven't plugged in all the places yet, my map is very very North America/Europe dominant. South America (Brazil, Argentina, Colombia) really interests me but I haven't made it there yet for some reason. Colombia is probably not very safe so I'll probably stick to Brazil and Argentina for my first trip. I have no time frame yet but sometime in the fall would be optimal. Africa is probably going to have to wait a while. I've heard great things about safaris and such there, but for now South America is a priority. Anyway, enough rambling. My Aeron chair arrived this week but they sent the wrong size :( They sent a size B but I clearly need a size C due to my height. Apparently they are gonna get the right chair sent asap. I know it is minor but these small "stress" situations really upset me. However, what REALLY upset me was the fact that my computer decided to call it quits that same morning. My graphics card stopped working and my internet connection followed suit simultaneously. It was a blessing in disguise though, because I bought a new computer a few months ago and now was finally forced to set it up. My old one was getting slow anyway, so it won't be missed.
This week's plan is to put in some hours online as I haven't played at all these past two days. I also need to get in some squash training so I can do some sebbau teaching in Dortmund next Monday. So far I've only played once but I'm hoping to sneak in two more sessions before our match. Surprisingly I was a lot less sore afterwards than I thought I would be. For all you poker players reading this who don't play any sports or work out: START DOING IT. Living a balanced life is sooooo fundamentally important and I promise it will have a positive effect on your poker results, not to mention your life span.
