Destination insanity
Wow this has been tough. It's been 8 full days of intense grinding, I've been averaging 14-16 hours a day playing 6-12 tables. So far I've played just over 130k hands and as I type this I am still leading the rake race. It's going to be a close battle until the very end, but I remain confident that I'll come out on top.
The poker itself has been so/so. When you pack all the variance of 130k hands into an 8 day period, you get some sick swings that can definitely take their toll on your emotions. I've had moments where I couldn't believe how hot I was running and just as many moments where I wanted to put my fist through my monitor and give up completely.
Last night called for some shottaking as one of the bigger fish on Boss was playing some NL10k and NL20k. I sold off some of my action and then managed to win a stack in each of the games, so that was kinda fun. You'll see the effects of the shots if I post my graph at the end of the race.
I'm not sure if it's worth it to risk my sanity for "just 30k" but right now I'm at the point of no return. There's no looking back now, it's less than a week left and then time for some vacation. I'm thinking maybe Spain or Greece, somewhere where the weather is nice and I can chill out before hitting up London for the EPT on October 1st. If you have any recommendations just drop me a comment (no I'm not going to send you money on Pokerstars just for giving me vacation recommendations, nice try)

also wenn die 25k abräumst, würde ich an deiner stelle ne woche auf eine der abc-inseln fliegen.
etwas luxus und entspannung für die müden knochen ;-)
freue mich auf den graphen. spiele nämlich selbst gerade jeden tag circa 5k hands ...
Ich glaube man kann gut 2 Wochen unter Strom stehen. Das Problem kommt est dann!
Wie der ultra-Marathonläufer, der hunderte Kilometr BergaufBergab rannte. Als er im Ziel war, konnte er nicht mehr innehalten und auch eine Woche später noch kam er durch keine Tür, wenn er vorher hätte anhalten müssen, um sie zu öffnen.
Jetzt heißt es also nur: NICHT DENKEN! LEBEN! AUGEN ZU... und weiter!!! GRINDEN, GRINDEN, GRINDEN!!! Wie in Trance.
Für danach würde ich meinen besten Freunden das Versprechen abnehmen, dass sie mich zu sich nach Hause einladen, und ich einfach nur da sein darf, zu Essen und trinken bekomme und an ihrem Leben Anteilnehmen darf. Ich glaube, das wäre der beste "URLAUB", der hier möglich ist. Eine andere Umgebung, Wegfliegen... etc... da kommst Du wieder nicht zur Ruhe und das ist irgendwie ja auch Stress. Besser da sein, wo Du Dich zu Hause fühlen kannst. FRIEDEN geben heißt die Aufgabe.

Nannette, die beste hier verfügbare Physiotherapeutin von der Welt hat noch den Rat, man könnte sich mit einer Mindmaschine für ca 20 minuten jeweils tiefenentspannt komplett in eine andere Welt beamen.
So ein Ding sei für jetzt ideal! Und rezeptfrei :-)

Gut zu sehen, dass noch jemand auf die ehrliche Art versucht, dieses Race zu gewinnen. Was beim Raked Hand Race abgeht ist nur noch peinlich. Bots oder Multiaccountsharer spielen nun schon seit einer Woche ohne Schlaf. Also wenn man betruegt, dann sollte man es nicht so auffaellig machen. Werde auf jedenfall noch eine Email an meinen Anbieter schreiben, der mir mal erklaeren soll, wie jemand 10
Tage am Stueck 24h spielen kann und warum so etwas geduldet wird. Na ja, jetzt ist der Server eh gerade aus irgendwelchen Gruenden down und vielleicht bekommen die Jungs jetzt mal ein wenig Schlaf.

florida is nice :) the weather is great but probably a little too warm. almost impossible to relax, 34 C + almost 100% air humidity. i was a little scared of hurricane ike but it looks like we made it through without getting hit by him. anyway i wish u all the best in the race and i'll cya on the 18th if u're still in berlin! glglgl und greetz to rhinaldo!

Hmmm, sehe ich das richtig, dass der Gewinner der Rake Race 25.000 EUR erhält? Schaut man sich den aktuellen Rake Stand an, liegen die Contributions der ersten drei bereits jetzt bei über 20.000 Euro ... and still counting. Sieht für mich nach -EV aus ... nevertheless ... weiter so und durchhalten !

verstehe nicht, was daran -ev sein soll?!
wie auch immer, hau rein cort und hol dir die 25k (pokerstars sn sag ich dir per pm, damit du mir geld für meine netten worte schicken kannst!)
nichts anderes als +ev fuer mich. man zockt mehr, verdient dadurch mehr geld und man erhaelt fuers viel zocken auch noch ein preisgeld was man sonst nicht bekommt. einziger nachteil is die koerperliche belastung. ansonsten kann man darin nur vorteile erkennen.
