WSOP 2008: A first look

This year is no different from last year in that we have rented a house for the full 6 weeks of the WSOP. Starting in the first days of June, this will be my temporary home along with several other German poker players, many of whom were also there last year:

The house has 11 bedrooms with 9 separate bathrooms. Additionally, it has a pool table, poker table, darts board and big screen TV. As you can see in one of the pictures above, it also has a double-sized pool and a jacuzzi. Best of all, apparently it is very close to the Strip! Needless to say, I really can't wait for Vegas this year...

Cort

WOW, you're a big time pro alright. You came in 6th in 1 minor tournament. I got news for you: It takes more than having a blog and playing a lot of hands each month because you have the money to waste to be a "pro" there jacko.

Calling yourself a "pro" would be like me calling myself a Major Leaguer after playing a few years of College baseball.

Get real. I'll play you heads up any time for any amount and laugh at your donkey 'expert' plays.

You're a guy who plays a lot of poker. Chris Ferguson and Phil Ivey would giggle at the thought of you calling yourself a pro.

LOL wasn das für einer?
Man of corse Cort is a pro!
He plays poker for a living and as far as I know he has no other job, what else does it need to be a pro in your opinion? You dont have to win a big tournament to be a "real pro"
Cort may not be famous but still he is a pro and there are many cashgame pros you´ve never heard about with huge amounts of money.

Is that jealousy talkin there, Babe Ruth? He is a pro because playin poker is his profession. What else does the definition of "pro" imply? Get a grip dude and dont go around creepin on other peoples blogs just because you wish you'd be able to do what these people are doing..

hallo cort,

Hi timl,

Cort

Jesus H. Christ! What a sad person must that "TheNaturalMevs" be!
Just one little thing: Do you know Chris Ferguson or Phil Ivey? I mean personally? Well I do. And they're both not exactly known for laughing at other people. Not in general and specifically not at serious players who make poker a living. The both don't like haters like you.
Just a thought. Now go get a life yourself...
