Someone is going to Barcelona...

...and it's not me.

My day was based around one single tournament today: the $450+25 EPT Barcelona direct qualifier at Pokerstars. 201 players created a prize pool of $90,450 meaning that the top 10 players would get their seats to the EPT Barcelona event.

To wrap it up in a few sentences, things began very well for me. I quadrupled my 2500 starting stack in no time. Then I hit a very cold run of cards and dropped down to 7k. I built back up to 15k, then back down to 6k, then back up to 20k when there were just 18 players remaining. This is where the story ends, however. I lost a coinflip which pretty much would have given me a great chance at winning my seat to Barcelona. Unfortunately though, my AK didn't make it there against JJ and so I finished in 17th place, just outside of the money. I spent 5 hours and 18 minutes giving this tournament my undivided attention, you can imagine how I feel right now.

Oje. *Corttröstentu* Du wirst sicher noch mal zu einem großen Turnier schaffen. Da bin ich mir ganz sicher. Nur eine Frage der Zeit.

Ein gutes Blatt wünscht
Gerhard
