Poker trips in September
Thursday: -$1335.20
This blog entry revolves around my September travelling plans, but I can't ignore the fact that today sucked balls. Most of the loss came from one hand at a $5/10 NL table. I flopped the nut straight and battled it out against the flopped top set. He filled his boat on the turn and I had 0% chance of winning the hand. My only mistake was still giving him the rest of my chips when the board was already paired. Amateur mistakes...
I am going to get a chance to display my amateur mistakes in a few different cities in September. First up is a €750 Freezeout with 7k starting chips and 45 minute blind levels at Casino Schenefeld near Hamburg. No tournament like this has ever been played in Germany and I am very happy that I will get to be a part of it! It is a two-day event and from the looks of the time table (PDF file), it should be a fantastic player-friendly tournament.
September 27th - October 5th
The second poker trip in September is going to send me back to Vienna for the Austrian Classics being held in the Concord Card Casino. I just got back from Vienna and already my next trip there is planned out. There are a couple tournaments I have my eye on:

28.09. Pot Limit Hold'em €200 Freezeout
29.09. No Limit Hold'em €100 + Rebuys + Addon
30.09. No Limit Hold'em €500 Freezeout
02.10. €100 + Rebuys Supersatellite for the Austrian Classic ME
I'm not sure if I will get to play all of those, but it sure would be nice. I will also try and qualify for the ME online at CelebPoker in mid-September. I am guilty for not taking enough pictures of our last Vienna trip. This time (both for Schenefeld and Vienna) I will be sure to take plenty of pictures and hopefully post a few in the blog as well.
