The poker gods love me again!

This is a big relief! I lost a little over $300 yesterday (Wednesday) after only one hour of play. I realized that it was not going to be a good day no matter how hard I tried, so I just minimized my losses by quitting early. Today looked to be the turnaround day when I found two ultra-fish playing $2/4 NL shorthanded and $3/6 NL shorthanded respectively. I grabbed a seat on each table and after 3 hours it was looking pretty good. Then my KK ran into TT on a T-high flop and I was quickly relieved of my whole table stack at $3/6. Ouch.

A quick 2-hour break and I decided that the bullshit has got to stop. I logged back on, found one of the two fish still playing, and took a seat at the table. This particular fish had over $3k in his stack, which is 5x the max buy-in at $3/6NL! Believe me, though, he did not amass that stack with good play. Don't mistake good cards for good play.

He donated a few hundred to me before leaving the table. However, I was not satisfied. Thank God for the player search feature, because I found him playing $4/8 NL shorthanded within seconds. I had to wait a while to get my seat, but when I finally sat down, I knew it was time to make some serious cash. I finally got my chance against him, when he thought his AK was good enough to beat my AA. Ship the $1500 pot to my stack, please. He quit the game after several reloads and I left that table with over $1000 more than what I started with.

Same routine again: Player Search -> Waiting List -> Seat Open. This time his game of choice was $2/4 NL shorthanded. I was unable to capitalize on his play before he quit for the night, but it didn't matter much to me, because I was also busing taking down a $215 SNG.

These are the days that I miss oh so dearly. I feel like so much weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I am once again free to have fun and enjoy the game we all love so much!
